I love
passionately writing, I love working towards my dreams and I love creating. I
love the way my brain works and the gifts and talents that God has given me. I
am utterly in love with myself. I do not mean this in a cocky or obnoxious way,
but I mean it in a way that I am confident in my purpose and the way God
created me. I love that God has given me a part of His creativity and knit it
within my entire being. I can't imagine a life without the creativity of God
influencing every step and breath that I take!
All that being
said, what drives you? What gifts and talents has God given you to impact the
world positively? Whatever it is, use the talents He has given you, NOW! There
is no better time than the present. You are not too old or too young to get
started on your dreams!
This post was
inspired by a networking brunch that I attended this week in DC called
"Powerful Women Make Power Moves" founded by Isi Ojeabulu. This
brunch inspired women to dream but also to take action on their dreams and
to start making them happen. Four inspiring entrepreneurial women came to shed
their wisdom on their experiences with launching their own businesses and their
journeys. The interesting thing that each of these women all jointly advised
was to start NOW and to use the resources and talents that God had already
given you.

I have so many
things that I want to accomplish and so many ideas swirling around in my head.
It is not enough however to keep your dreams within your head. You have to act
and do something about it. Here are some practical steps that I am implementing in
order to keep myself on schedule and to see my dreams come to fruition. Hopefully this will help you as much as it is helping me!
1. Create a long-term
vision for yourself
- Where do you desire to see yourself in 5 or 10 years from now? What are you aspiring to be and do?
2. Create a short-term
vision for yourself
- I created a summer plan for myself
- Write down exact things that you want to accomplish within a certain time frame
- Research things that will help you accomplish your goal
3. Connect
with people
- Network! Network!
- Find people who have done what you are trying to do
- Connect with people who can be on your team and support your vision
4. Coach
- Find someone who can coach or mentor you in our vision; get a fresh perspective and ideas from an outside source
5. Have fun!
- All this stuff and planning is useless if you are not having fun with what you are trying to accomplish
Don't
let anything hold you back! ACT NOW!
Besos,
KayGodd <3
